Happy New Year!
It's that time a year that everyone talks about their hopes and dreams for the year ahead- what was good in the past year, what they can't wait to get beyond, and the goals for the future. But, by the week after New Years, those goals are often forgotten or given up on- some people even refuse to make resolutions because they know that statistically, they won't be successful. I have to admit, I'm guilty of thinking that way- you can read more about my "resolution hate" here. Why do a majority of resolutions fail? A big part may be that first, we don't write them down- inspiration author, Steve Maraboli is quoted as saying:
"If you have a goal, write it down. If you do not write it down, you do not have a goal, you have a wish."
Another reason resolutions fail is because we don't make a plan to make them happen- we have these things that we know are good and we know we should be doing, but we never make a plan to make it happen.
So this year, let's do it differently- I want you to share with us one resolution (write it down), and let us know what your plan is to make it happen- get 50 bonus points for each resolution you submit! Don't forget to click on the "Submit Idea" button to share.
