Another Baby Maybe?

So I'm 40 and just had my 2nd child, I started late at 37 yrs old. I have
2 beautiful girls and after my 2nd I was suppose to get fixed and long
Story short she came to fast for me to get any Meds!! Much less an epidural!! Lol
My dr was on vacation and wasn't able to get fixed!! Soooo I have always said
Everything happens for a reason, and now he wants to try for a boy!!
Is 40 yrs old TO OLD to have a 3rd child? Not really wanting to but sort of
Thinking bout it, guess I'm going to leave it in GOD's hands and if he
Decides we need 1 more then I will take it and go with the flow....any suggestions
Or opinions?

I currently have a 22 year old daughter, a 20 year old son and my little man is 16 weeks. The first two are from my previous marriage. 20 years apart, like I said I couldn't be happier. My other half would like for me to have another and shoot for the girl we shall see what happens. I have an aunt that had her 2nd child at the age of 44 and she is very happy.

So he hasn't reached that age where they say u have to worry about
More risks like Down Syndrome. But it looks like we will try for a boy
But no matter what we have I'm done after this. Not leaving hospital
Unless I'm fixed!! Lol

But if you are aware of all the good and bad, ups and down that go along with one more... Go ahead. The more advanced in age a woman and man get, the increased risk for complications. But if you are going to try, try soon before that number goes up and the gap in age between kids increases. Best wishes either way.

The same thing happened to me, I wanted to get fixed during my 2nd birth, but I gave birth a month early and it's like everything happened so fast I never got a chance to discuss it! But like you said, everything happens for a reason, so stick w/ that line of thinking. My aunt is in her early 40's and just got pregnant w/ her first little girl (she already has 2 sons)... it was a HUGE surprise, but they could not be more happier... she is doing great :)
