so i tracked down the insert things for extra absorbency. peed through anyway twice in a row. then coincidentally, i ran out of vaseline so i used butt paste a couple of days in a row...no leaks. could it be that putting vaseline on for the night time diaper changes interferes with diaper absorbency??? i kept up with the butt paste and then desitin and no leaks. for s&g i used vaseline again two nights ago. LEAKED. haven't used it since and no leakages! i thought vaseline for night time…

i had to have my crown put on today at the dental school. it's usually a 9am-12noon ordeal. the last time i went i didn't bring my pump and ended up not pumping ALL DAY. i went straight to tommy's babysitter's and nursed him. somehow i did not get mastitis or whatever it is i'm so afraid of. this time i made sure ahead of time i'd have time and a place to pump. when i got there, i found out my place to pump was the public restroom with nowhere to sit because the only outlet was in front of the… Continue

i have been trying my hardest to get tommy interested in his toes to no avail. day after day i play and show him and make him hold his feet with his hands and he couldn't have cared less. until today! while he was being fussy earlier at my friend's house, i sat him on the couch and he leaned over and tried futily to suck on his own toes! i would have been ecstatic for him to have just touched his own foot! unfortunately it was only fun for him until he realized he couldn't get his toes in…

tommy started fussing a lttle before 6 this am. my alarm went off at 6 am cuz i keep forgetting to switch it off of saturdays. i needed to pee and so did the dog so i started trying to coerce the dog out of the bed so i could get up and out without peeing myself. ol' copper felt no need to get out of my way so i successfully hurdled him and made it to the potty without peeing myself. i made one last offer to let him out, which he graciously, LOUDLY accepted. now i know why people crop dogs…

so i totally effed up today and forgot to put tommy's bed and my bed sheet in the dryer. they weren't dry until 9:30 so i had to figure something out to do with tommy til i could set the beds up. tommy fell asleep after nursing around 8:30. around 10 i decided to put him in his crib so that he could safely cry out his fit he would inevitably have once i set him down to get our beds ready. i'll be a monkey's uncle. he is still asleep in there. everything is ready, plus i put all the laundry… Continue

i can't sing. i don't think tommy got that memo. my pumping schedule is all screwy at work now and tommy is suffering because of it. i pump at 4 now and he's still ready to eat at 6. i don't produce nearly enough for one meal for him within that hour and forty-five minutes so he spends the rest of the evening fussing. i've had that if i die young song stuck in my head all day so i looked up the lyrics while i was shifting tommy around trying to distract him from his evening fussies. i ended up… Continue
