You know you're a mother...
I have decided to start a daily blog. These are my experiences that I have had being a mother of 4 boys.
You know you're a mother...
when you are walking down the street and you look at a reflection in a store front and laugh at that disheveled person and then you realize it is you. You then laugh harder and end up peeing your pants. Yes giving birth has destroyed my bladder. But oh so worth it..

Happy Changes!
Dear Baby Princess,
It's been a great week!
First and most importantly, you have a beautiful new baby girl cousin! We will see her next week when we go to New York and I can't wait to snuggle her. I think it will be wonderful for cousin R to have a sister and for you to have yet another cousin so close to your age! We are also going to celebrate cousin J's first birthday during this trip and I think (well, I hope) that when all of you are a little older you…

About Me
Hi, my name is BethAnn Marjorie Strauss and I was born on June 24, 1983 on LongIsland, NY and lived there for a total of 19 1/2 years. I moved with my parents to Pennsylvania in 2003 and met my oldest sons father at the end of 2004. Everything moved quickly so things started off real good then went down hill, picked back up and then back down hill again and I broke up with him because of his infidelity. We we're together for 3 years. We we're broke up for a little over a month and not…

my life
well i am 21 almost 22 and my daughter is 8 months old. She is my world and my life. Her father and I have been together for 3 years and it has been a up and down roller coaster. When I was 18 I dropped out of school and move here with him 13 hours away from friends and family. Yes all for love, it was a struggle coming here not knowing anybody. We met in college and he wanted to be back in his own town. I worked full time at a salon for over a year. I worked all the way up until she was…

Amazing Baby
Dear Baby Princess,
You can now sort things by shape or color.
I read a fair amount but I still have no idea if that is standard for someone who is almost 19 months (!) old. To me you seem like the smartest little girl in the world, so I think I'll just continue to believe that you are brilliant and become one of those moms who insists that no other child is as good as hers. Only kidding about that part, but you really do manage to surprise me every day. I…

20 months
once upon a time i itended to keep track of all the stuff tommy does through this blog so that i can look back on it when i completely forget about all of it.
epic fail.
but a lot of crap is going on and i'm pushing myself way past my limits. excuses, excuses lol.
as of this month, tommy can name most animals and which sounds they make. he has stopped saying 'nyow' for cat and says meow, which kinda makes me sad. not sure why, but he seems to think horses say 'haha' and…

Thumper
It started every since he was born. My little 5lb, 10oz Ryder was actually a Thumper! Anyone one who has ever seen the movie Bambi knows exactually what im talking about. The little bunny named Thumper who always thumped his foot when he was happy. My son Ryder is just like that little bunny everytime i run my fingers through his hair or rub his arm or leg to put him to sleep he Thumps that foot. Like when you scratch a dog in the one special spot and his foot goes wild, yep, thats what im…

I don’t know if this is much advice for pregnant moms but something you might have to think about after having your little love bug. Id like to share my story with you
There’s always that question that everyone asks you, do you want to breastfeed your baby? I know I got tired of people asking me and giving me there advice on what I should/need to do for my baby. How it is the best and healthiest thing you can do for you and your child. Yes I do agree it is and I know there…

I'm Sorry, Baby Princess
Dear Baby Princess,
I need to tell you about something very sad.
First, I should make it clear that you will not read this story here for the first time. It is important to Daddy and I to have an open, honest family and that means you will hear about both the good and the bad, gradually and in the appropriate context, as you get bigger. I am eternally grateful, though, that you are relatively unaware of what's happening at the moment. The upshot is, sweet…
