if i had a chance to do it all over again, i would just drive to texas.
all in all, im glad we went. my great-aunt was very happy to see tommy and the pictures i took the last few days made the trip worth it.
however, i will never fly with a toddler over 2 and under 44 lbs EVER AGAIN. by myself, anyway!
even though i took the two days prior to the trip off of work just getting out of the door was an epic feat. i was so exhausted that i fell asleep and forgot to put the…

took tommy to walmart earlier to do last minute shopping for our flight to texas tomorrow. and he had a colossal blow out. because... his diaper bag was at home in the middle of being packed for the flight!!!!!!!!!!!!aaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!! it's always that one time. le sigh.
i am attempting to bring every single thing that tommy consents to eat in hopes that i can use it to calm him, keep popping ears at bay and also to feed him as we will be flying at lunch…

at tommy's 2 year check up, he weighed 29 lbs (60th percentile) and is 36" (90th percentile). The np asked how many words he says and since i wasn't prepared for that question i took a stab and said fifty. she said, ok that's good. about average. that got me to thinking. i meant to keep track of the words as he learned them (ha) so i could look back and remember.
the following sunday, i sat down and started the list. 340 words later (not counting cuss words, numbers past 3, or any…

Katie, Mom365 Host said… How's life, burp? Is Tommy surviving the winter without watermelon, or do you spring for it out-of-season :)
samanths hines said… Wow sorry you had to deal with that I just flew with my daughter and did not run into any problems at all! SHe is much smaller than 44lbs and I purchased her a ticket and she sat in the seat on the way back(the ride there she was in my lap sleeping)
Katie, Mom365 Host said… Burp's back! We missed you :) Hope all is well in your world.
MoNa said… Its not that bad to be honest. I mean of coarse there are challenges but all worth it. I really have to start recording my baby girl more. I tend to use my phone to record her since its always next to me but I really have to start recording with my video camera.
MoNa said… That is so cute...are you recording everything? A couple months ago I sat and watched some of my sons videos from when he was around 2 and its amazing how much you forget.
I actuallly took some time off of school. With 2 older children in school, and having to help them with homework everyday, it got a little difficult to keep up with my own school work. Especially with a baby demanding my attention.
MoNa said… Hi, sorry i just saw this. mine is 4 months, she's growing so fast. I can imagine..at 14 months they are getting into everything..exploring and just having fun
Thank you!!
