"Our son does that too, and more when he's teething. I try to redirect him with teething rings and that usually works, but I don't always catch it and he has made himself vomit a few times but not choke. I just figure now he'll stop…"
"Our little one does this sometimes. She's made herself vomit a few times and twice now shes been leaning back and choked. She gags herself with her spoon too. We just try to gently tell her don't do that. Slowly I think she is figuring it…"
"I knew a little one that would do that- not my own, but I know it was hard to watch! Eventually, they figured out their limits and how far back they could stick their little fingers in their mouth- but I'm not sure if the mom had any tips…"
My dd recently started putting her fingers in her mouth so far back that she gags herself. She usually smiles and doesn't seemed too bothered but it's making me crazy! Anyone else's bAby do this? I tried to tell her no, divert her attention to a toy, give her a snack etc. but nothing works. Any ideas??
"I am just finished weaning now. The process has been pretty easy. I started replacing one bottle a day with formula. Did that for a week and then replaced two bottles a day with formula. Etc etc. my milk started to decrease slowly. This week we are…"
"I think you need to set some sort of rough schedule. At this age your baby needs a nap on the morning and another in the afternoon, so plan on being home for them. Either go out early and come home to nap around 10am, or stay put at home until after…"
Know how you feel. I've considered skipping out on family dinners because of bedtime. But ultimately I go and LO does really well. I think family time comes first and the memories will be worth the chmage in routine for the night. Good luck!!"
"Notorious cat napper here ... 30 minutes - set a clock to their accuracy! 3 other time 2 times a day. Sleeps well at night. I am trying so hard to NOT to obsess about LO getting the "recommended" hours of sleep per day however I am failing…"
"Thanks. I can see some separation anxiety forming especially since I have been home with her since day one. Trying to break it before it gets too bad, but I have to admit it's nice to be loved and wanted so
Much. It's hard to turn her…"
"It could be separation anxiety. My son is going through this right now. He used to fall also great but then he started crying the second I set him down in the crib. I would try to calm him and get him to sleep but he would freak out more. It turns…"
Hi Michelle! How are things going? It's so neat that our babies have the same birthday! Is Bella doing any new things? Colton has been laughing a lot, trying really hard to roll over, and lifting his head up for long periods of time. I can't get him to stay in his crib at night so he's still sleeping is his playpen in my room. He eats every 3 hours still and so I feel like I'm never going to be able to sleep through the night. How does Bella do for tummy time? Colton hates it! It's a challenge to keep him on his tummy :(.
