I also have had back surgery 4 years ago spinal fusion plates screws cadaver bone bone stimulater and a lovely 14 inch incision. I had my 1st son 22 months later pregnancy was horrible and then i had my 2nd son whos now 9 weeks old 23 months after the 1st. I was in agony and begged to be induced early lol. During my last pregnancy my foot started going numb and pain was outta this world turns out i have a 2nd fracture now probably due to the stress on the lower back area during pregnancy even though i was extremely careful and only gained 28 lbs. I now have to have another surgery and im scared to death the 1st 1 was horribly painful and im not looking forward to a wheelchair n walker again with 2 small children. Im glad to know other people who have gone through the same thing.

Aloha Karina, I was just reading your post about you doing everything right now becuase your husband is deployed. Hang in there, I know how dreadful that can be because i was on the opposite end, I am currently getting out the military and staying at home raising our son who is about to turn 8 months, the good thing is my husband also got out 2 years ago and we dont have to go thru deploying issues. Alot of my friends are in the same situation as you and the miltary has a great support group. I also see you are moving to Hawaii, that is where i currently reside. Its a wonderful place if you get around the island, only bad thing is being far from family,Hope to hear from you :)

Hi Karina, I requested you as a friend! I hope you'll accept...
It would be nice to make some new friends other than the usual ones i see and talk to everyday. Anyway, I was reading your delivery story and was found that we kind of have something in common.... the back surgery. I'm not sure what kind of back surgery you had but sounds bad because of the two rods you had placed in your back, but I had a lower lumbar surgery in Feb. 2010 because my back was driving me insane. My back has definitely improved however if I do anything or lift anything strenous, it starts to hurt again. Right now it's been hurting, it feels like someone slammed tons of bricks in the middle of my back, I guess kind of like a really bad sore feeling. So, I wanted to ask you about the C-section after having back surgery. I read it was painful but was your back really hurting you because of the strong contractions or it was mainly just because of the surgery you had. By the way, when did you have back surgery and how soon after was your son born? Hope to hear from you.
