Baby books: yes or no?

I really, really thought I'd keep a baby book for my oldest son. But it didn't take long for me to realize that my procrastinating nature did not lend itself to that kind of record-keeping. Instead, I started an online blog where I posted from his perspective ("Today mom and I went to a farm—I loved the ducks!") and kept friends and family updated with pictures and stats from his periodic well checkups with the pediatrician. I remember the thud like it was yesterday. My 5-month-old was asleep upstairs in the bassinet (well, the cosleeper we had configured as a freestanding bassinet; he wasn't yet rolling over and hadn't exceeded the weight limit) and my husband and I were downstairs watching TV.
