So, I came across the Medifast diet plan for nursing mothers as I was browsing the web. I looked it over and looks pretty well-balanced and healthy. I'm curious to know if anyone else has tried this diet. It has you eating throughout the day. You can have unlimited amounts of fruits and veggies. Two well-balanced meals with lean meats. You do have to have 3 supplemental meals/shakes that they sell. I've done similar diets when I wasn't pregnant. If you've done it or know someone that has, please share your/their experience. Thanks!

Permalink Reply by Joanna on March 30, 2012 at 11:46pm I did do this diet. I loved the idea of it and I spent like $100 on the food. Let me tell you, it gets SUPER disgusting eating powdered food after a couple of days. You may be eating frequently but you are practically dying for something REAL to eat. It really did not taste good and it was expensive. It is super hard for me to lose weight but what has been working for me recently is this: Every meal I eat a little protein and a fruit and a veggie. In the morning I have carbs like a bowl of granola or a bagel. As the day progresses my carbs become less. I eat NO carbs at dinner. In between meals I snack on deli lunch meat or Cuties or cut up veggies. If i'm craving salty deliciousness I LOVE the Special K sour cream and onion cracker chips. I also never eat after 530. I've been doing this for 3 weeks now as well as going to Jazzercise (fun dance aerobics) 4 times a week. I'm down 10 lbs. It's slow progress but I feel great and healthy and never hungry. And it's delicious and cheaper then Medifast. Hope this helps :D good luck!
Thanks so much for sharing with me. I like the idea of decreasing carbs throughout the day. Also 10lbs in 3 weeks is awesome! I am usually able to shed extra pounds but it gets tricky with breastfeeding. Thanks for tips and good luck on your weightloss!
