Just curious and thought it might be time to start a new discussion :) was just wondering how much everyone's little ones are eating?? How much and how many hours and total for the day?

Khloe has been eating 4 oz every 3-4 hours during the day and sleeping all night.. so it's been about 20 oz a day. However the past couple days has been a little less.

OH! And birth she was 6 lbs 8 oz and at her 2 month appointment she was 10 lbs 7 oz :)

How are everyone's little ones doing? Good I hope!!

Sounds early from what I know but just talk to your pediatrician about it.

It might be a little earyl to give him cereal.  What formula is he currently on??   My LO is on Similac Alimentum, he has an allergy to the cow protein that is in the regular Similac Advance formula (blue can), and ever since he has been on the Alimentum, he has been doing just great.  The Alimentum is for babies with severe gas/colic and for babies allergic to the cow protein.  You might want to ask his Pedi about that formula or if not the Similac Sensitive for fusiness and gas (orange can), or Similac Sensitive for spit-up (bright green can).

I think 8 weeks might be too early. I have heard that feeding a baby anything besides milk before 6 months can lead to obesity later on in life. I would suggest maybe looking into other formula that would help him. My son had a problem with gas when he was born and I changed out his formula to similiac sensitive and that seemed to help him a lot. He is almost 13 weeks now and has had no problems with gas in a long time.

Hope this helps.

Wesley is 11 weeks and eats 7 oz of formula every 3 - 3.5 hours during the day.  He'll eat at 9pm, go to sleep, and wake up at 4ish to eat.  He then sleeps til about 8:30.  He was 7 lbs 11 oz at birth and is about 12 lbs 8 oz now.

OHHH and She'll be 11 weeks on Nov 23rd :)

My Aidyn eats 4oz during the day and 5.5oz at bedtime and once when he wakes up in the middle of the night.  He sleeps for about 5-6 hours when I put him down between 8-9pm.  At birth he was 4lb, 13oz (7 weeks early) and our last dr. visit he was 10lb 8oz.  His 2 month appointment is this coming Thursday so I'm sure he is well over 11lbs by now.  He is on Silimac Advance after being on Neosure since birth.  He still spits up quite a bit and has gas.  I'm thinking of asking his dr. if he should be on something else???

My son is almost 13 weeks and eating 4 oz every 3-4 hours and I was thinking about upping his milk intake. I have just heard that babies having too much water ( formula baby) it can hurt them. At times during the day he will eat and about 2 hours after eating he will start to cry so I do everything change his diaper, rock him, play with him (etc..) everything but he still seems fussy. So I give him some more milk. Im wondering if maybe its time to up his milk intake? Does anyone know usually what babies will eat at 13 weeks?

My son will be 13 weeks tomorrow.  He's been eating 6 - 7 oz every 3 hours during the day for a few weeks now.  Every baby is different though.  I kept upping by one ounce like my doc said and this is where he ended up.  He's not a chubby baby - just very hungry I guess.  I would guess your little man is hungry if he's getting fussy after 2 hours regularly.

I agree with u!!! My son is 12 weeks and is eating like your son!!!!

Hi! My son Nolan was born 8lbs 1oz, and is weighing in at about 14lbs now (he's 3 months tomorrow). He eats 6 or 7 ounces every 4 hours during the day, and sleeps 8 hours at night. So he's eating on average 30 ounces a day...he's a little chunky monkey :)

my baby eats 5 oz every 3 hours and his feedings ususally stop at midnight and start up again around 6am. he weighed 7lbs 1oz at birth and 13lbs at his 2 month appointment. looking at everybody elses post though im starting to wonder if 5 is to much??

My baby boy eats 6-7oz every 5-6 hours! I don't think it is too much unless he is spitting up then I would feed less more often! Just my opinion!!! Hope it helps
