Oh! I was trying to remember what that park was called, we drove through there once and forgot the name thanks laragc!
I know im late on the tip contest, but Im guns share anyway.

Im also in east bay, our favorite park to go to is civic park.
They have a good sand area and two play areas one for the bigger kids and one for the lil ones. Plus they have good grass for lounging or picknics a cute lil gazeebo that my daughter loves running circles in and the library is also just down the path.

Thanks for the tip, @laragc! We'd love to hear from the other San Francisco Bay Area Moms and Dads in our Local Tips Contest. Where do you take your little one when you want to get out of the house and play? What's your favorite local children's clothing store? What park has the best sandbox? Share just one local tip on the wall and you'll be entered to win a $100 Living Social Family gift card! One winner will be randomly selected on June 1.

I'm East Bay.  For the local tips contest, I suggest the Redwood Railway at Tilden Park.  My son loves it and it's only $2 per person so it's a nice, inexpensive outing.

Hi to All! I need to post a new pic, Sammi is now 18 months, run run run!  We think we just got her first words... "I DO! I DO! I DO!", usually at the top of her lungs - so we ask questions, like "Does Sammi need her pants changed?" "I DO, I DO, I DO!" "Does Sammi want lunch now?" "I DO, I DO!" Yeah, it's prolly just phonics, but it sure is fun! We call her the Hercules Hurricane, and we play in local Refugio Valley park, where sometimes there's music, but always there's ducks! Went last week to The Little Farm at Tilden Park, took lettuce and celery for cows, lambs, goats, ducks, geese and chickens!  Wonderous stuff for her - a cow licked her hand!

^_^
Thank you!
Mine too!
First CD I ever bought back when I was like 12 was NO Doubt. I love that band and I love GWen too.

That's fun and super nice that you have that getaway.
and that's great that your a teacher. That is what I was going to school for, but I don't know when I'll go back to finish. Maybe next year. I want to teach middle school though.
It is always different handling your own kids.

I'm not sure if you'd be interested but there is free movie showing at Contra Lomas regional park which I think is like halfway from where I am to where you will be this weekend Sat 7th
I'll probably be there (depending on GWeni's mood by that time (usually sleep time =/) , the movie starts at 7pm and they will be showing Where the wild things are, which I'm excited for since I have yet to see it.
I think it's way neat because GWen loves the park and I haven't been to a movie showing since before she was born, so I"m looking forward to it.
I learned about it from one of the bay area magazines, I can't find a link for it on the webpage, but it does give you a bit of info and an email if you want to confirm the event yourself, that is if your interested in going. ^^

I love the name Gwen, Gwen Stafani is my favorite artist. We are going to Bethal Island in the East Bay this weekend, to a house on the Delta that we have access to. Life is such a breeze right now with Mateo. I nannied for a few years and am a preschool teacher so I'm so ready for him grow and develop, I totally know what i'm in for. It'll be fun, but I know I won't be able to keep up with him everyday, lol.

I take Gweni for long walks too, she likes it. Where do you go when you leave the city over the weekend?

Awe. Ha, I usto say that about
Gwen, that I couldn't wait till she crawled
Now sometimes I find myself wishing she
Was still stationary. I think this is why she's become
Fussy, she is too anxious to learn everything. She turned six months started crawlingand its been non stop since. I can't get her to stop trying to climb on the furniture and diaper changing is a nightmare. As she will flip, turn, roll, everything just to crawl away from me. I don't know how to get her to stop. I've tried toys, talking, singing, I've even tried being stern its just now a mystery to me. I feel like I'm back to square one. How do I change her pampie? Lol.
This is my first, and I didn't know id be back tracking. :P
Two months. That was a good month. ;)
