Yesterday was the most amazing day, my daughter smiled for me and my son peepee on me, my little ones have had a rough go around however I got to hold both of them yesterday it really made my day, these are the moments I look forward to.

Thank you Katie and Shannon, I really like the fact that there are really people that have positive things to say and assure me that I am not alone. It has just been such a hard road to ride thus far and so many thoughts go through my mind. Thank you guys for your prayers and words of encouragement.

CCCwalker, of course it is not your fault. My sister is a NICU nurse and they always have preemie twins in her unit, it just happens. I hope things get better soon for you and your babies. Hopefully they have gone through the worst of things and can now focus on growing and getting stronger and going home to their sweet mama and family.

CCCwalker- please don't feel it's your fault or that you that you are alone!  I can only imagine how tough it has been for you, but just stay strong for your babies and know that you did a wonderful job getting them to this point.  I know it's tough, but try to have full trust in the Doctors and Hospital treating your babies... this is their expertise and they have been down this road many times with many different babies.  Just try to stay positive looking forward to the day you get to bring your babies home.  I will say a prayer for you and your twins that God will watch over them and the doctors treating them.

Hello my name is Meme and I had twins girl and boy at 26 weeks June 3rd 2012, I was due September 7th 2012, and now I have babies in the NICU. This by far has and will be the most challenging thing that I have had to deal with in my thus far. My little ones have had a tough go around already, they went through the honeymoon stage as the nurses in the NICU call it and now my little ones are going through what seems to me as the most painful stage ventilator machine, antibiotics for infection, pulmonary hemorrhage  and a number of other things. I feel like its all my felt as to why my babies are going through all of this, I feel so hurt to see them go through this everyday and I feel so alone. My babies are doing okay today but we have many more days before we get to the day they can come home. I really feel alone......

BTW she was in the NICU until her due date and my whole world just stopped completely. ( 6 weeks) I never felt so cheated or robbed of something as I felt with my baby being there.

Hello! My daughter was born 4/27/2011 her due date was 6/10/2011 she was a 33 weeker. She is thriving now considering she is almost a year. I would like to know if my daughter is a late bloomer or if anyone else is experiencing the same: she barely has two teeth, she just learned how to stand but can't figure out how to sit down, she doen't use her hands or knees to crawl she uses her elbows and feet, while sitting up she will still occassionally fall over......... I know that my angel is perfect but she tends to do things differently. How about yours.

My daughter was born at 35wks. I went into the hospital at 33 wks. I was on hospital bed rest for 2 long weeks due to preeclampsia. I was given the steroid injection when I arrived then got a second injection the next day. I was induced on Aug 9th. I was so happy to have a healthy breathing baby at 4lbs even and 17 1/2 inches. We roomed in the hospital for six days till she was released. Now she is growing like a weed. She is up to 10lbs and 21 1/2 inches.

Meg - Thanks for sharing! It sounds like our babies were very similar - both born at 29 weeks, mine was 3 pounds 8 oz and 16.5 inches, and we were in the NICU for a month and 3 days! I was given the steroid injection when I was admitted to the hospital but it was only a day and a half before they did the c-section. But it still helped! He never had to have a tube down his throat and he only had oxygen flowing through his nose for a day or two. I'm glad your little one is big and healthy now!!
