Hi, my name is Taryn.  I am new to Our 365, and new to Arizona.  I am 31 years old and married, with a nearly 3 year old son and a 6 1/2 month old daughter.  We live in Waddell (near Surprise).  I am currently a stay-at-home mom and feel extremely isolated having relocated from CT and having no real friends here yet, even though we moved into our house on January 3rd.  I am looking to try to meet up with other moms in the area that also have toddlers and infants and don't mind the fact I breastfeed my newborn and therefore may have to do so while we are together.  If anyone is part of a group that meets regularly or would like to try to start one up with me, or even just meet up just the two of us, please reply to this thread (or email me at tjbobko@yahoo.com, using "Our 365 friendship request" as the subject) and let me know.  I am getting desperate for other adults to interact with other than my husband ... especially those who can identify with the challenges of having both an infant and a toddler at the same time.  I hope to hear from some of you soon.

Thanks for the tip, @Lisa Ceballos! We'd love to hear from the other Phoenix Moms and Dads in our Local Tips Contest. Where do you take your little one when you want to get out of the house and play? What's your favorite local children's clothing store? What park has the best sandbox? Share just one local tip on the wall and you'll be entered to win a $100 Living Social Family gift card! One winner will be randomly selected on June 1.

I live in Queen Creek and have 2 wonderful boys!  One is 2 1/2 and one is 6 weeks.  My 2 favorite things to do with my toddler (to wear him out and watch him having a blast) are visiting the Children's Museum of Phoenix and the McCormick-Stillman train park (http://therailroadpark.com/index1.htm)  They just added a large air-conditioned building full of model trains to watch.  My son can watch them for an hour and it's nice and cool.  Another nice thing is that admission to the area is a donation, so you can give what you are comfortable.  Riding the train and carosel aren't very expensive either.

We just gave birth to twins at Arrowhead 7 days ago.  The rooms were private and the staff, except for one nurse, was amazing and friendly and went out of their way to help in any way that we asked.  The staff really seemed to care about our newborns and were so attentive and excited to interact with them.  We finally let them take the kids a few nights from Midnight to about 5am so that we could get some sleep.

Mary and Pattie here, 23, expecting our first in july, we are together and are very excited for our baby... We are just looking at hospitials to deliever at and are wondering what some of your experiances are. We have a choice of arrowhead or thinderbird and have heard mixed reviews of both from our families and friends.

I just have something to say and I have no one to talk to. My husband and I have lived in Surprise for almost two years. My newborn is 2 months and I have a daughter who is 2 years. We have been struggling for a year on bills, rent, groceries, babysitting, and now not having a christmas for our kids. I know their little and don't know about santa yet but it's so hard when you see everyone else shopping and buying gifts and hearing about how much money you're spending on your significant other while my family won't have a dinner or presents for our children or for eachother and worrying about how are we going to pay for rent in January. Sometime's I tell myself "If we didn't have children, we wouldn't be hurting".... but I guess that's life.
