Comment by Jen Ackerman on October 6, 2010 at 3:54pm: I also have OCD and have had it since I was 9yrs old now that I am 35 yrs old and have two kids my oldest daughter is also showing signs of the OCD I found that if teach her differnt ways to do things then she does not seem to have the problems Ii do will organizing things and having to have things a certain way all the time she ask if all her things have to be the same just like mommy .

I understand all about OCD affecting your children. I am starting to see a lot of OCD tendencies in my oldest son now...and I am more than sure that it comes from me and the way I do things. I feel horrible that I may have passed down OCD to them because it is something that I hate living with!
