Congratulations! I have only a few more months of my toddler being 2.
My advice: love, communicate, be consistent, don't give in (just once establishes precedence!).

@Amanda, I think the saying sorry will come with time. Just keep letting him know the times when it would be appropriate to say sorry, and he'll start doing it eventually. I wish I could offer some advice about picky eating; my son isn't much for variety either. But neither are his friends, which makes me think it's not just my parenting style; some kids are just more adventurous about food than others. I'd love to hear the new rules you're instigating! I read the book French Kids Eat Everything and have tried to cut down on snacks; it definitely does help my son eat more at dinner when he's actually really hungry and not full on goldfish!

@Melody I don't know if it is normal toddler behavior. I do know that children mimic their parents. Do your best to model the behavior you want him to use and talk through things with him whenever possible.

Good luck!

Hello,
I have a 2 yr old named Keith (turned 2 in July) and a 3 month old named Erika.
We are currently dealing with teething (2 yr molars anyone?), eating a variety of food, and saying "I'm sorry."
My husband and I are about to instigate new rules about eating. Hopefully, they will do the trick.

I have no idea how to get him to say he is sorry for anything.

Hi everyone I am new to this site and need some advice ,my two year old has started to become physically aggressive by pinching ,biting and stretching he appears to have a lot of what I would call anger when doing such acts by teeth grinding etc. I feel that this maybe of my fault because I get frustrated and sometimes raise my voice at him so I think he is mimicking my anger. Is this a normal toddler behaviour and how to handle it?
