Hi my name is Shannon. Im married have 3 kids and will be 31 in May. My lil man was born July 24 Th 2012 and will be 9 months on April 24 Th. i have 2 older daughters ages 13 and almost 12. Its been 11 yrs. since i had a baby but my hubby wanted to try once more in hopes for a son so we got pregnant after the second try. We found out in march of 2012 that we were blessed with our first son. It was so exciting and he is the best happiest cutest lil man ever. We are truly blessed and thankful that our last try resulted in the son we always hoped for. So saying that i am happy to be in this group with all you mommy's and their lil boys.

HELLO MY NAME IS ANITA. I HAVE A 1 YEAR OLD SON NAME AYDEN. MY FIRST CHILD AND PROUD. I HAVE TO SAY THAT BOYS ARE VERY HARD-HEADED AND WAY TOO ACTIVE LOL. HE GETS INTO EVERYTHING YOU CAN IMAGINE. IT'S DRIVING ME NUTS!!! LOL, BUT THEN MY MOM TELLS ME I WAS DOING THE SAME THING ALSO.

AddamsMommy I am in the same boat. My son is 16 months old and everything is mama dada baba etc. but no words to really identify anything plus he's not walking on his own yet. His dr told me about a program called ECI (Early Childhood Intervention) that sets up speech therapy, and physical therapy. If you let them try to charge your insurance they have a sliding pay scale based on your annual income. You pay whatever the copay is once a month no matter how many appointments he has with either one. You may want to talk to your sons dr about it to see if there is a program like it in your area. We have my son "frog walking" in about a week and he will start speech therapy next week.

Hello! Mommy a beautiful 18 month old boy who still refuses to talk. He says Mama and Dada here and there, Hi and Bye while waving but besides that he won't say anything. He makes noises for cats and dogs but won't even try to say Cat or Dog. I keep getting parenting emails from this site and others that he should be putting short sentences by now o_0 He has his own jibberish talk which he goes on on and about but no actual words. I try to read with him but he just takes the book flips the pages and puts it away. =/ I point and name everything around us including our pet Dog but nothing. I know this a group for Moms of Boys so I was hoping you ladies could share your experiences maybe some advice? Should I be worried? Am I overreacting? Please help! First time mom so I have no previous experience. Thanks!

Just goin out, she's a girl! I'm so excited. She's going to be a little diva. The Ultra sound tech said she's very photogenic and loves to get her picture taken.

Hello everyone. I'm new to the group and a 1st time mom (my son will be a year old Sep 9th. I'm an only child so I know nothing about raising a boy (other than what my husband has to tell me :). I look forward to using this group as a resource and sounding board!

Leslie, I was sick the WHOLE time with my baby he was born on 12/11/11 and yes I said HE...LOL, I hope that if your wanting a girl that you get what you want, I was told the same, and I also was told that heartburn meant a lot of hair, my son came out pretty bald, he had hair but no where near what I felt he should have had with all the painful heartburn. I hope your pregnancy is otherwise going well for you. My little one is my last, my other 2 are 23 yrs and 20 yrs...
