Should I be concerned?  My son is 7 1/2 months and still doesnt crawl or scoot. If he gets up on his arms, his legs are stretched out, if hes on his knees and and his butt in the air, the front goes down.   He does however take off like a shot in the walker.  He sits up when I sit him up and can maintain that balance and reach for toys, but if hes in a laying position he cant get into a sitting position.  Some people are telling me that it could be cause hes too big.  (at his 6 month checkup he was the size of a 12 month old... 23.4 pounds and 28 1/2 in long...stop laughing. haha)  And my final problem is he STILL wakes up at night.  He was sleeping through the night at 2 1/2 months, once the teething started it all went down hill and he still wants a bottle 2 - 3 times at night....

My baby is 7 months old and still doesn't crawl or scoot. In fact, it's just been the last few days that she's been sitting up for a while (after I get her into a sitting position) and doesn't fall over. I'm just trying to make sure she has more time on the floor to move around and play with her toys.

Thank you so much for your input.  Glad to know i'm not alone.  Everyone else tells me theirs was sitting up on their own at 5 months.  That of course put me in a panic. haha

Tell me about it!!! LOL! But seriously, my pediatrician told me not to worry, so I'm trying not to.

LOLOLOL I can't stop laughing cause we're almost in the same boat.  My son will be 7 months next week Tuesday.  At his 6 month checkup he was weighing 20 lbs. and measuring 27 3/4 inches long.  He is not crawling, doesn't have any teeth or any that I can see through the gums, and he too is awakening at night for a bottle.  He has slept through the night on a few occasions (maybe 4 or 5 times since birth) but other than that, he is up and makes sure we know he wants his milk!!  I am not concerned about the crawling since he's down there on all four trying to grasp the concept.  I guess for mine, it will be take a little longer than others. And, like you said, it could be their extra pounds that are preventing them from completely crawling.  I hope this helps. :0)

Good to know I'm not alone!  He already has 4 teeth and uses them on EVERYTHING. haha..  Thank you so much for your input!
