Anyone near Tipton or Howard counties?

I just moved to Tipton and my son is a month old. I would like to find playmates. He loves going to the park here but I have quickly learned have bug repellent. That clip on seems to work.

Comment by bkmonroe89 on May 29, 2011 at 9:52pm: Oh but if you go to Tipton park make sure you take bug repellent and it is best for kids to use the clip-on instead of toxic spay on them :) Also if your child loves sand and water, take your child to Kokomo Beach it is also called Kokomo water works....but they have sand area and baby area in the pool. It is really fun and he loves it. They also have a concession stand there too. These places you have to pay money to go to so be prepared to spend money.

He also loves going to Tipton Park to the baby area and to Kokomo to the Highland Park to look at the geese and play in the baby area. I also go to Tipton library and get baby and children books to read to my son. He really loves that.

Comment by Brandy Samuel on May 19, 2011 at 1:32pm: I'm a mommy of 2 girls in Bloomington. Being in a college town is not always appealing to families. The one TIP I give to students with children is to take advantage of our local library downtown. It has an amazing preschool playroom with tons of playgroup options. I love taking a book to read and letting my 20 mo old run around in the super safe environment to socialize with the other kids.
