New Babies!

Hey everyone!

My son is just about four months old (next week) and it has been a crazy four months. I have hardly had a minute to myself, although that will come as no surprise to anyone here, I'm sure. At the beginning he took up every waking second of my day, I hardly had time to take a shower. Now he is a little bit bigger and it's a little easier to get things done because he has more of a schedule. It isn't perfect, but he is pretty good about letting me know, loud and clear, when he is tired or hungry or just needs some mommy time.

His name is Michael Allen and he has been the best baby I have ever known. He sleeps through the night and has been doing pretty good with that for a little while now, he still has days where I just want to scream at the top of my lungs because I'm so frustrated with him, but most of the time he is a really good baby. He is a very well loved baby, that's for sure! And spoiled rotten by everyone on both sides of his family. He's one lucky little man. He's our little Leap Day baby!

We are so blessed by this little guy in our life. I would have posted a long, long time ago but he is only just now figuring out how to amuse himself for a minute so I can do something like make a post on a site somewhere. I look forward to getting to spend some quality time getting some questions answered, there are a lot of things I don't really know or think about as a first time mommy and it's always nice to get other people's opinions and point of view, or even some helpful tips on things they did to get through certain stages.

I guess I should mention that my name is Caitlin! I don't think about these things... my head is so full of little Michael! Most people call me Cait, or some form of that.

Hi Cait! Your son sounds a lot like my daughter! LOL. Isn't it amazing how they change month to month?

It's totally crazy how much different they get from one month to the next. I mean it's incredible that they change so much and each month they look so much different, grow so much and their little personalities grow and develop. I love being able to watch it every day!

Omg! Me too! they take up every second! Some days showering is still tough! LOL But every second is amazing!

I feel you on the showers! Seriously, though I spend much of my time indoor because its too dang hot outside.

He likes the running water these days so I am pretty lucky that I usually get a shower in. I'm sure it will be harder once he can move around and doesn't want to sit still long enough for me to take one, though! Haha. I wish it was hot... I spend a lot of my time indoors because it won't stop raining all the time! It's totally crazy, but it's supposed to be nice all weekend and he likes the outdoors so we might get to actually spend some time in it for a change. It will be nice.
