ACOG just released on July 21, 2010, Practice Bulletin No. 115 which contains a revision to the guidelines for VBAC. Click on link below to read them. Women can no longer be pushed into a cesarean anymore if they do not want one and a women even having 2 prior c/s with low transverse incisions can be elgible for a VBAC.

Please give me your feed back and share with me your comments about these new guidelines. Let me know what your OB thinks about them too if you happen to discuss it with him/her.

Does anyone have any thoughts about this? I would love some feedback as a gear-up for baby #3 in another 9 mos.
Good luck! I have had both and I'd go with natural in a heartbeat. I recovered in no time with my daughter after natural childbirth (no drugs and 2 pushes - cake). My son was breech - so I knew a c-section was coming. The c-section for me was not a good experience (painful recovery). If your doc oks the VBAC and the baby is not breech and no reason for a c-section, I'd go natural (but that's me). The pain is more intense during delivery, but then it is over. I had nasty side effects from the drugs.
Thank you! I've had both of mine with emergency c-sections, and we are planning another and hoping for a VBAC, I was concerned that I wouldn't even have the option!

VBAC is an option even with 2 or more c-sections.  Here is a link on a study comparing VBAC vs. VBA2C.
