It is (hopefully) not a secret that if you nurse and pump at the same time, you will pump more milk. I am wondering if anyone has any good techniques for managing this feat. I can do it; however, I…Continue

Comment by Christine on December 27, 2012 at 7:23am Hi Ladies. My son will be 4 months old on the 6th of January & is only breastfed. I need some advice!! I have had to leave him with my mom a couple of times and he will not take a bottle(breast milk of course) or a pacifier. I have read in a parent book to give breastfed babies a bottle of milk once a day to get him used to the idea. I have tried on several occasions and he fights it and usually just give up. He pretty much uses me as a human pacifier ;).I nurse all the time! I have two other children one who is 9 and the other who is 6 that feel neglected sometimes because there is no one on one time with them because I nurse about every 1.5 hours. Please help! Thanks Wendy
Comment by Jonquel. on November 29, 2012 at 10:36am My daughter is 4 months old & I love breastfeeding her! when some mothers ask me do I breastfeed and I tell them yes, I usually get a reaction back like "Omg, it just feels so unnatural" or "It hurts when I did it" or "That's nasty". Despite those reactions I still continue to breastfeed my child because I think it's wonderful, way more healthier than formula, FREE!, lol...and a great way to bond with my daughter more. I don't get how some mothers say it's unnatural or nasty because breastfeeding is one of the most natural things in the world. But I guess breastfeeding is a different experience for every mother.

Comment by desismith on October 29, 2012 at 4:46pm Another reason is that your breast wont feel as full because the skin of the breast stretches. After a few months of breast feeding my breast werent so bulgy any more and by the time I finished breast feeding completely and my breast began to shrink I realized just how full they were the entire time I was feeding.
The pediatrician kept telling me I wasn't making enough milk but I didn't stop nursing. Women have been breast feeding for millions of years and I was certain by daughter was getting enough. If she wasn't she would keep eating. I used to let her eat as much as she wanted and I offer milk to her all the time.
