Thank you for the great welcome Bethany Ann, Star Mom. I am going to try the cold foods idea thank you.

Wow, k. oliver that is cool that your son was born in Okinawa, Japan.

My son, Kaelib Rian is 16 months, born Aug 4, 2010 in Okinawa, Japan. He was the first baby for my husband and I who now have another bundle of joy. My son is very adventurous. He has been walking since he was 8 months, he talks but not too many words. He says mommy, bye bye, hi, dadda, oma, nana. He loves to figure things out, how to screw on the cap to a water bottle and when he goes to the park, he looks at all the screws to see how they work. He has 12 teeth and is a whopping 30 lbs! I have no friends where we are currently living, so I am trying something new lol

Welcome, Rose19! Sounds like you have a sweet little boy :-) I am having the same problems finding friends, the ones i do have don't live anywhere near me, and the ones I have here either don't have kids or their kids are older and into different activities. Teaching Tre sign language is a great idea! I can't tell you how many times I've crossed paths with a deaf/mute person who had to write down what they needed to say to me, and I felt terrible and wished I could sign so I could communicate with them.

For teething...Right now my 15 month old does really good, sometimes I'll put some natural gel on her gums at night. She has 10 teeth and is working on all 4 eye teeth now. When she was younger and had a more difficult time, I'd give her frozen waffles or beef jerky. She never liked teething rings or any of that, so I'd give her a frozen wheat waffle or original flavor beef jerky. The jerky never broke off because it's so tough, and it gave her protein at the same time. We'd have to fight her to get it out of her hands haha! But cold foods would probably feel good on your sons gums.

Hi, I am new to this site. My name is Rose and I am 21 and my son Tre is 15 months and is around 24 lbs. He makes me smile and laugh everyday. I don't know what I would do without out him now. He was very unexpeccted. My husband and I both work and spend as much time with him and each other as possible. He started to walk at 10 months, he says dad, mama, drink, thank you and can sign five ASL words. He can sign drink, more, food, thank you and please. He is not hearing impaired we just found American Sign Language to be benifical. Tre has six teeth but trust me more are starting to come in. If anyone has tips on teething it would be greatly apperciated.Tre is very daring and loves to play at the park. If I could buy a swing that is where he would want to play all day. I hope that we can find some friends. We do have people that live near us that have children but they are not around Tre's age. There is one baby boy who is smaller than him by about three or four months and the only other one closest to his age is a four year old girl.

Hello everyone. My Zoey will be one on Monday, August 15th. She is such a bundle of joy. She hardly ever cries and is always keeping you laughing about something. She was getting into things when she began to crawl, but now that she is walking...she is a terrible two that has not turned one yet. I just called to check on her and my mom said that she has learned how to work the DVR. My mom says that everytime she presses the button, she looks up at the tv to see what it is doing. We're in the process of planning her 1st Birthday Party and I'm so excited about it. Once it is over, I'm going to try to post pictures up so that everyone can see them. It's not going to be anything over-the-top, but we are going to make it very special for her.

Hi, I'm a new member. My baby girl Makayla makes life a true joy. I'm a working mom and my mother lives with us and takes care of Makayla during the day. Makayla is a super happy girl, always smiling loves to eat everything and is copying everything we say. She's going to be walking soon, today she took over ten steps and could of probably gone more. We are very blessed to have her. Oh did I mention she has eight teeth already? Yep eight, they just came in two a month.

My 11month old son, LONDON is hilarious. He will eat anything, he crawls, he chases the dog and will go to anyone. He's a very happy little boy. I get the biggest kick out of him looking me dead in my eyes and says "da da" He's not walking yet but he wants too. He was a  premmie weighing 5lbs, born 8 weeks early and spending 9 days in NICU with a breathing tube, being fed breast milk through an IV his growth and development has been amazing. He's 24lbs now with 8 teeth and crawls so fast i can barely keep up with him.
