HELP! My 22 month old seems like the most unhappy baby. I never know what is going to send him into a crying fit. I feel like he has colic for a toddler. Sometimes it starts off from not getting something he wants and he goes into crying for sometimes up to an hour with nothing seeming to calm him down. I'm really not sure what to do or how to make things better. I'm quickly feeling down on myself as a bad mother, having low patience, or somehow creating this unhappy existence for my son. He is also very stubborn, doesn't listen... ever, and when he does get in his "fits" he is going to hurt himself. This isn't all day, but it always seems to be in the afternoon after we get home and at least 2 times before bed time - which that is a whole other struggle in and of itself. What am I doing wrong?? = (

Hi!! Everyone my name is Jennifer im 25, im also married to a great guy named Mike he is 32 we have been married for 5 wounderful years. 14 months ago we had our first child her name is Aubrey Nichole. She has been a wounderful baby never crys even when she was cutting all her teeth. She has been walking for almost 7 months. My problem is Aubrey climbs on everything she even stands and when she falls she dont cry she just gets right back up and does it again. Its like she has no fear or fells any pain, is this normal for her to just climb and fall with out thinking it hurts or its going to hurt? thank u all for ur help!

Happy birthday, April 2011 babies and moms! Congrats on making it through Year 1 together. We'd like to wish you lots of luck, fun and happiness in the coming year, and look forward to sharing the next 12 months of milestones with you!

Hi, I'm new here. My name is laurel. I'm 25. I have 2 beautiful kids. My April 2011 baby is name Adrian. He was born on the 20th at 3:06 am. After only 10 hrs of labor and only 3 pushes. He's was a walk in the park compared to my daughter. She is 3 1/2. I'm a SAHM and wouldn't change it for anything. At almost 10 months hes cutting his 5th and 6th tooth and eats like food is going out of style. That's why I call him moose, cause he eats like one lol. Hes always git a smile on his face. Even with the teething, he's still smiles. He wasn't planned at all but i sure don't have any regrets. I love my kids and love my life. I look forward to chatting with more moms and comparing milestones of kids the same age as mine :)

Hi! I'm also new to the April 2011 group!! I had my beautiful boy April 12th 2011! Can't believe he's almost one year! He is my first, Labor took 17 hrs and ended up having to have a C-Section. He just didn't want to come out naturally. At 9 months hes a big boy! Already 23 lbs and 30 in long! Growing out of everything quicker than any child I know! And we already have to upgrade on his car seat. Now a stay at home mommy, I'm also loving every minute!

Hi! I'm new to this group also. I have a beautiful baby girl Sophia Mary. She was born April 19th at 904 pm after 14 long hours and a c section. She weighed 7 lbs 14 oz and 21.5 inches long. She is my 1st. I am now a stay at home mom which has been a huge transition for me after working full time. I'm loving every minute of it! I have read tons of posts so it puts my mind at ease to know that many others are experiencing the same obstacles, milestones and joys!

Hello everyone! I just joined today. I have a handsome little man who was born on 4/12/11 6lbs 14oz 21&1/4inch.  When I say "little man" it actually is an accurate description of my beautiful baby boy.  He has a genetic defect called Bartter's Syndrome.  His Kidneys flush everything out: including the nutrients he needs to grow.  This causes an eloctrolyte imbalance.  He has to have his blood checked everyweek to make sure his potassium, chloride and sodium levels are normal.  He barely weighs 14lbs and he's now 25 1/2 inches long. It's been a long and difficult journey.  He's my first baby and what I thought were going to be just normal first time mommy challenges have now become my worst nightmares.  But even with all these difficulties I am so grateful for my little boy.  He is our little angel....a happy, giggly baby.  He lights up any room he's in.  He's such a trooper!   Although I can't compare him to other babies his age, it helps to know where he should be at if he was normal.  And reading some of your posts gives me peace of mind because although he looks like a 4mos old, his mental development is right on track.  He's starting to crawl and sit up, he loves to jump up and down, he bables A LOT!  He loves to laugh and giggle!  He has 4 teeth and holds his own bottle. People that don't know his situation get freaked out because they think that he's a really smart 4 mos old! lol

Hi everyone im new to this group. I have a beautiful baby girl who was born 4-7-11 at 6:25am 7lbs 3oz and 191/2 inc. she is 8 months and is crawling, two bottom teeth, and pulling self up standing already. will probably be walking christmas time lol.

Hi this is my first baby im new to this group. I have an baby girl Imani Blackwell born 4/9/2011 @7.30 am 8pds 2oz 22inches....she is now 8months.she can craw a lilttle but like to stand more,she loves to play and loves to eat but very smart
