i suggest to wait tell 18 months than you regularly take baby to the bathroom and set baby on his/her potty and you go with him/her. around 18months is generally when the muscles have developed enough to learn to use the bathroom at 13 months the pelvic muscles are still very undeveloped my 20 month old is just now learning when she needs to go.

Between 18 and 24 months is usually good.  It still doesn't mean that they'll get it anytime soon.  Every baby is different.  My oldest was potty trained by the time she was two.  I started when she was 18 months.  She hated being wet.  My second didn't go until his 3rd birthday!  He drove me crazy.  Pee could be dripping down his leg and he'd keep on playing.  My mom swore boys are harder to train than girls.  I have no idea if it's true, I just know my kids (one boy, one girl), learned at different times!  Good luck!

my gran daughter i bought her a potty chair at 13 months prior to this one day i took her diaper off & sat her on the tolite & she went  & i praised her shis isnot afraid of big tolite   she loved her new potty chair took it all apart & then started  sitting on it wen me or her mom go to tolite  se see's us & gives us paper ,  so they learn that way  all todds are diffrent & girls are easier   at 13 months she started using potty 4/5 x aday  & is now 17 months &  she has slept all nite 1x with panties & was dry  we are very proud of her & i told my daughter she was very lucky   that she is this easy

you can ask her if she needs to go wen not at home  & you take her to big potty & she goes , not all kids are ready this early i bought the chair because it was on sale i didnt expect her to start yet  but i think its good to get one early on so they get used to it  & no child can train 100 % till bladder & bowel spincter muscels are fully developed no matter how hard you try , those muscels are what  allow us the control to go wen needed & prevent accidents / being able to stop urine flow during  urinating ect

i had 1 girl & 1 boy trained by 18 months & 2yrs    but u never no just get a potty chair & model good  tolite habits

for them   i do not believe in trying to force it it wont work till they are ready but just like me if id not bought the potty at 13 monts   we'd have missed out on her being almost trained  here at 17 months

but we let her flush  big tolite b4 se got hers  give she liked giving us paper a

also one day @ 15 months she came in living room  with roll of paper & wld tear off a sheet & reach behind her self & wipe her but fully clothed & did this over & over  we had to pick up the paper lol & she goes & gets a  pull up & trows it away   we are not fully there but we sure are ahead of the pack & it was not even intentional  but we are very thanfull

key thing summer is great time to train  they can be naked or with panties & be consistent in taking them to potty

like with a new puppy often & always praise them praise praise do not ever get frustrated  be patient kind loving reassure them  its a brand new world for them & think of all the major changes he or she has gone thru since being born & will continue to go thru until adult hood   keep it up & they will get it

diapers are not forever , my gran daughter will not keep a diaper on  unless tapped on so we use kroger pull ups  she has gone to the store for 2 hours & stayed dry & went potty wen home  she dont like the potty chair at my house nanas so she uses a step stool & the big potty with asst ,  i bougt 1 of those potty trainier seats supposed to fit big tolite it didnt ?  i am going to get 1 of those fold away seats from one step a head for wen out at a store so she dont sit omn a nasty= seat

also they have on the go pottys & also this stuff you pee in & it absorbs it all like a gel great product  at buy buy baby

get potty chair & start now
