All of my friends have little boys; we go to this little preschool run by a friend and it's like 12 little boys and 3 girls (all in one family!). Now, though, the girls are appearing: one friend had a girl in May, and two other friends just found out they're having girls. I have another friend who's trying, I feel like she's destined to get pregnant with a girl! Does anyone else see this gender pattern happening in their social circle?

In my circle it's split evenly. Everybody who has 2 kids has one of each. Then of the 2 couples who have 1 child, there's 1 with a girl and 1 with a boy. Though there is a couple with a boy on the way, so he'll be the odd man out for a while until somebody presumably has a girl. I guess maybe our gender pattern is keeping things even? lol

A ton of people I know all have boys, and they keep having more boys boys and more boys!!! LOL. More boys vs girls are born each year, did you know that? From years of census findings they have discovered more boys are born then girls in the world. But it ends up evening out as we age. Men die more frequently and get sicker than women, and men usually do not live as long as us ladies either.

It seems to happen that way every year...it's seasonal or something.  When I was prego two years ago everyone was having boys with only a few girls popping up.  I am prego now and everyone is having girls, with only a few boys popping up.

Yep. When I had my daughter, three of my cousins also had girls, two of which were born a week before and after my daughter. This year, I had a boy and so did 5 other women I knew who were pregnant and we all gave birth in or around June weeks and days apart. My daughter is two and at her Buddy Bunch class there were only three boys out of 15 kids. I'll be interested in how many boys versus girls will be in my son's class two years from now.

I don't see it! So far two of my sister in law's had boys this year, my third sister in law is having a boy, due in September, I'm due to have another boy in October, my husband's step sister is having a boy this year, and two others I know are having boys. I know two people having girls this year. I'm seeing the opposite of what you are.

I have had weird gender distributions in both sides of my family. My dad had 2 sisters and then there were 6 granddaughters but only 3 grandsons so it was always twice as many girls as boys. My mom is one of 3 girls and then the first 3 grand kids were all girls but the next 2 and my kid, the great grandchild, have been boys. So it goes in weird cycles!

i know that when i was pregnant the first time with my dd everyon was about to have a girl or just had one. every where i looked all new moms and pregnant women had girl babies. dd was born march and it seemed all the spring babies were to be girls. only saw a handfull of baby boys and still now when we run into toddlers lo's age almost always a girl. it's weird. i'm wondering what i'm having this time since i'm having another spring birthday only now 2 years after dd was born.
