I fed my baby in her walker so that she can sit up more. I dont know if she ready to use the walker yet because she doesnt sit up on her own. I usually only put her in it when i'm spoon feeding her which was twice already. Since she has so much fun it i started to put her in it at playtime. Her feet touches the carpet when she's in her walker but she always have her toes curled up in a fist. Does this means she not ready for the walker? She is going to 5 months.

I put my son in his walker LONG before he was old enough to push it around. for a long time he would only go backwards too. ha ha. Ours had runners along the bottom, which make it harder to move on thick carpet. My husband removed them. If you have thick carpet, it might take longer for your baby to start moving it.

As long as she is holding her head up, you can put her in a walker at any time. She'll use it to get around when she is strong enough. :)

thank you. my concern was mostly of her foot. when she's in her walker one of her foot twists.
I put our son in the walker with some help from throw pillows when he was 3 1/2 or 4 months old, that way he could get used to it. He was too short, so I'd put a throw pillow under his feet so he could touch. When he could finally touch the floor, he would walk backwards, then he mastered the art of going forwards.  He took his 1st steps when he was 10 months old.  Re: your daughter, I'd put crib shoes on her if you are worried about her feet curling, although, my son'spediatrician said that going barefoot/socks is actually good for them when they learn to walk.
