so i was going to wait til sometime after june to ttc, but my husband came in the bedroom one day while he was suppose to be at work and said, "lets have the baby" soooo exciting! i'm learning more about trying to ttc and how it works because i heard it's sometimes harder to ttc with the #2. my last perio was may 10-15 and we started having unprotected sex on the 22. we've only missed 1 or 2 days since the 22nd. last time we didn't give it much thought because w just had sex almost every day for a month. just wondering if anyone thinks that it's possible i get prego this month even though i started ttc so late this month. i read somewhere that my most fertile time is likely the 21st to the 26th, but i've also read that you could ovulate early, late, or not even at all. i am 30 and am in super great health besides being a little overweight, but i've been that way most my life and it's never given me a health problem. all the womean that's ever been in my family get pregnant very easy and live long healthy lives even if they don't take the best care of theirself with smoking and excesive drinking etc. i don't drink or smoke ever. i am still breastfeeding my 14 month old. we are just so excited! i just hope it doesn't take anymore than a couple months.

Your body is producing different hormones this time, since you said that you're breastfeeding. I wouldn't wean, because you're doing great, but there is definitely a chance it's going to take longer this time. The hormones you make when you're breastfeeding make it a little bit harder to become pregnant, but definitely not impossible.
Good luck!
thank you. lo is only nursing at night right now though, so maybe it will not interfer too much. i have always been pretty normal as far as my cycles. i have noticed they are much heavier since having my baby. i had no idea they get that much heavier. it did take a couple times before they started to come th same day ish every month again. and they are lasting a good 5 days.
Permalink Reply by Jen, Mom365 Host on May 31, 2012 at 10:07pm I think the limited nursing shouldn't be an issue at all. It's good that you're regular. I think it's not going to be long at all before you get your positive test. :)
Breastfeeding does make it harder to concieve because of the hormones. Another thing is having sex everyday can make your husbands sperm count go down i have read that it takes 48 hours for the sperm count to come back up.. if your wondering when you ovulate you could always try to first response ovulation kits and that will help. good luck.
she has self weaned now, right at 15m. i guess she was just getting ready. she didn't tak it at all the last few tiemes i offered it. i guess she was just ready to quit even though i wasn't quite ready. oh well. tanks everyone. i didn't get pregnanst this last month, must have missed my fertile day/days. i'm going to be trying to hit them this month. if i can't do it this month, since this will be the first full month of trying, then i might look into one of those ovulation kits. i'll let yal know when i find out.
Have you talked to your obgyn? A friend of mine is in her late 30's, and so is her fiance. She's been having difficulty getting pregant, so during her yearly check app. she got more info about ttc... the Dr. said if she's gonna do it now is the best time as she's getting older. So, they went over her cycle and determined when she would ovulate... then scheduled certain days to have sex... apparently you should allow for a certain amount of days in b/t having sex so the sperm count can reach it's highest. So, they went from having sex every day (thinking the more often, the more likely... but this is apparently not always true) to having sex only certain days a week/month.
i looked on the computer and it gave me my days based on my period and what type of cervical fluid to watch for. turns out i didn't have sex on all the likely furtile days last month. but this is my first full month of trying. we did skip a couple days this month so who knows, but most of the time we waited 24-48 between times. i should be taking a test any day though. my husband is 28 and i'm 30 so i hope it doesn't take too long, i woulkndn't think it would. but if not we will be seeing my dr in a couple months.
well it's offical, i'm pregnant with baby #2!!! i found out one july 13th, friday, and lo had just turned 16m that day. we are so excited! that didn't take long at all lol, a full month and about a week of trying before then. according to the computer and my last period i should be 5 weeks. i didn't get a positive for the first few tests, days before it, but really it's strange bc i feel l further along than that. i've been having sympotoms for about a couple weeks now. and a couple days after my missed period i had a blood spot in my pants, but it was old brownish blood. then nothing. i had this happen to me with my first, so i know it's probably the same thing. but it happened at 9 to 10 weeks with lo. so now the dr wants to see me for earlier for my first dr apt. makes me wonder if i'm further along and if i just was pregnant already during my period last month. i've heard this is possible even though it's rare i hear. but really i think it's strange bc the night or two before my test i started feeling stuff whirling about in my tummy, the same feeling you get just weeks before you feel the baby move/kick. i felt lo very early about 12wks and kicks 16wks. maybe everything is just loosened up there or i know what i'm feeling for. what do yal think? i'm going tuesday to get blood work etc and hopefully get some answers.

thank you!
so anyone want to guess what my due date is?? march 16th, same as lo's due date was!! can i time it or can i time it??!! i wanted a march baby again but i didn't realize i would hit it right on the head like that lol. so i have an ultrasound in 2 weeks and i'll get to her a heatbeat. they want to make sure about the due date and check to see if baby is okay bc of the blood spot i got. but now my dr is retiring from delivering so he's going to recommend a new dr :( i'm sad bc he delivered my husband and my 1st. i was hoping he'd deliver my 2nd and probably my last.
