My little boy is almost 7 monthes old and he has all the signs of teething except for his gums are smooth. He started drooling more and more around 2 monthes old and every body told me he was teething then, but still nothing! He gets fussy and chews on things and I give him teething tablets and it calms him down. So that makes me think he is teething, What do you think?

It sounds like he is teething. It comes in several stages. Have you noticed any swelling or changes in color? Orajel is said to make the gums tuff and harder for the teeth to come thru. My daughter like the orajel gum scruber. You wear it on your finger and brush the gums/teeth with it. I would also do the teething tablets to help calm her. As you know some babies chew on things because they are still hungry. He may have hit a growth spurt and wants more to eat.  Also, we used some of the puff/poofs and pinwheels on the baby food isle. They disolve quickly but our lo liked chewing on them.   Just do a little research on your teething tablets. They were recalled not to long ago. I have seen them back out in the stores but just in case. We never had any problems with ours but some parents did. Good Luck.

Thank You!!

I forgot to mention the mesh feeder. It looks like a pacifier but with a mesh net on it. It's great for ice chips or frozen fruit. It really helps with the fussy teether. Some kids love them, not just for teething, but really neat.

We have tried that and he is not a big fan! He usally throws it down and crawls away. LOL.

wet frozen wash cloths work well... My daugter has a few I call em chew toys (lol) that would vibrate when bitten. She wasn't as fond of the rings but love the ones that looked like fruit. You can't soak em in water or sanitize in microwave... Use pacifier wipes, bleach/water on cloth solutions... Something that dries clean and is safe. Vinigar is a good disinfectant but can leave an after taste.

Thats great we will have to try that! Thank you!!

Those teeth will appear overnight. Just you wait and see. We woke up one morning and one twin got her first tooth. 2 days later the second got her first too. Crazy how it happens literally overnight

I hope so!!

Noah started teething around 3 months and just like your lil one his gums was smooth. He just now has a tooth that has broke thru the gums and he will be 10 months on the 15th. I massaged his gums with a finger brush, gave him teething tablets and the frozing teethers. Another thing he enjoyed was a little silicone ring made by nuby it had small brush like bristles on one end and nubs on the ring part and was easy for him to hold. He would go to town on that one. Good luck, I know there was a lot of nights he was miserable and it still hits him on some!

Thanks so much! I guess im just being impatient. I will start using the tooth brush he will probley like that.

Noah actually really likes it. I put a little bit of the baby toothpaste on the tip and when he sees me with it on my finger he opens his mouth up and waits for momma (kinda like a baby bird...lol) Good habit to start with them for brushing their teeth also!!! I was also stressing about it but turns out everything was fine!! So good luck

Thanks so much!
