I think my 3 month old is teething, looking for advice on how to soothe him and help him feel better. I gave him a little tyenol to help him sleep last night, but I don't like giving him that to much. Thank you in advance for you help!

I have read about many ways to help soothe teething. The methods that have really worked for me has been feeding my son cold applesauce.  Also if you can purchase teething toys that have water inside. Make sure that the toy is not too hard. Keep the toy in a ziploc bag in the fridge and when you see your baby in pain give him the toy. Another thing that has worked for me has been Oragel a gel for teething.. i think that it numbs the gums. GOOD LUCK!!

My daughter went throught that stage super early and her pediatrican urged me to let her play with a clean and unused wet wash cloth. When he or she bites down or rubs his gums on The wash cloth it soothes the "itchyness" they r feeling!
Good luck!!
Oragel is not very safe it can numb the throat of an infant and lead to fatel injuries, there is a recall on some brands...

You could put a clean, damp rag in the freezer for a little while and then let him chew on that. I found success using Gripe Water with my kids. It's good for teething, and also helps with gas. You can find it at CVS by the infant gas drops. When he's a little older, a great trick is getting a mesh feeder (they have them at Target) and putting frozen berries in it.

Believe it or not a friend of mine had told me to take a frozen tater tot and give it to her. she loved it . The cold to her gums and she was in heaven.

Thanks everyone!

Hi Proud mommy! My little guy is teething early too so its hard for him to hold things on his own. I have been peeling a banana, cutting it in half and freezing it. When his teeth start bothering him I hold it for him and let him go to town! :) Then I let him breastfeed to warm him back up! He loves, it seems to help him and its safe. Good luck and enjoy!

great idea!

We found that my daughter likes frozen binky's. Hold them upside down under the fauct and water gets in the nipple and put in the freezer for 20 min/ half hour and voila! You have a frozen binky that feels great on their gums :)

Coool :-)

Teething tablets work great for my son. They are all natural so I don't feel guilty giving them to him. Also, I will give him an ice cube in those little mesh feeders. Kinda messy, but better than a crying baby!!

Good idea, man you ladies are smart!
