Have you guys heard about the woman who is 8 months pregnant and competed at the Olympics? I know it's an incredible opportunity, but I'm not sure I'd risk it. Would you go compete at the Olympics that far along?

Here's an article about her:

In her case I feel it's okay. She doesn't have any 'risk' of harming the baby. She is shooting an air rifle. I remember when younger taking gymnastic's my instructor was to compete but found she was prego and was disqualified. In that case yes bc if she fell or twisted wrong it could harm the baby. I think each event is different and a once in a life time experience for many. I think it's great she didn't give up. WTG active mom.

I agree!  Being pregnant should not stop you from exciting opportunities like this.  We could criticize her all we want, but in the end, *most* moms are trying to make the best decisions with their baby's (unborn or born) health as a number one priority.  Good for her!
