For a few weeks after I stopped nursing I was still confident in my body. I had never gained a ton of weight and lost 20 lbs the day after my daughter was born. ( she was 11lbs) But now I hate my boobs!!!!! They have no lift and I feel so old looking in the mirror. Does anyone know special exercises I could do to make lift and tone them? Its the one thing I can't stand and I obviously am not going to get a breast lift, not that I could afford it...Please help!

Permalink Reply by samanths hines on August 22, 2012 at 1:48am there is no excercise to get rid of extra skin you might tighten the muscles. My boobs are aweful i breastfed 2 yrs and my body looks great but my breasts are terrible there is no coming back from a size e to a size b for me lol but it was well worth it just embrace your new body after i am done having children and breastfeeding them i will consider a boob job.
Permalink Reply by Jane on August 22, 2012 at 2:12pm Exactly! Rest of my body feels good but I hate my boobs now. I just feel like they're saggy and I'm too young to have saggy boobs!!!! But it is true that I made the choice to breastfeed because it was best for my baby so I will live with those repercussions!
Permalink Reply by samanths hines on August 22, 2012 at 3:45pm Aww dont look at it as a reprcussion it is best for your baby and you too. Pregnancy makes breasts saggy too weather you breastfeed or not. I loved to nurse my baby and it was well worth it my husband does not care i do i am 21 i should not have these boobs but no one besides him me and my daughter see them. I would probably feel much worse about it if i was single. Good for you for making the choice to breastfeed. It was the best thing i have ever done in my life!
Permalink Reply by Jane on August 22, 2012 at 4:17pm You're right, it was definitely the greatest thing to be able to nurse her. I can't believe how many women choose not to! Its so beautiful that the body can do such things. (good to know that women get saggy boobs from pregnancy anyhow) haha
Permalink Reply by samanths hines on August 22, 2012 at 5:39pm Yah pregnancy, nursing, age ,weight gain than lose can all cause sagging it just happens and i agree it is shocking and sad how many mom dont nurse and dont want to! I was 2 weeks away from being 19 when i gave birth I knew breastmilk was natural, healthy, and free and i was sold! My goal was 6months and that turned into two happy years of nursing a very happy, loving, Independent toddler! Congrats on the natural birth of such a large baby my daughter was only 6. 11 and they insisted i get a csection(for no reason other than i was dialating slow) I told them no the baby is not in distress and I had her natural after 2 days of no food or liquids(besided iv) incase i needed a emergengy csection!
Permalink Reply by Jane on August 23, 2012 at 1:21pm Nice work! I dilated super slowly too. (also 19) I went from 0-4 over the course of a few weeks and they wanted to induce me but I told them I wanted to walk around and see what happens because it wasn't progressing super fast but that day I felt it was a little bit different. They ended up breaking my water and that just made everything take off rapidly and few hours later Eden was born. :) I nursed her from day one til about 14.5 months old. She was so big at birth that she needed more than milk by 6 months. but night time nursing before bed was the best when we'd fall asleep. Did you co-sleep ever?
Permalink Reply by samanths hines on August 23, 2012 at 5:47pm We still co sleep her dad works night so its just me and her! We are very attched in a healthy way, many people fear that their child will be too attached if you nurse past 1 and cosleep. We co sleep i breastfed for 2 yrs she is independent, social, and has spent a few night at grandma and grandpas no problem. I think it makes her very secure not needy whats your take on that topic?
Permalink Reply by Jane on August 27, 2012 at 5:24pm Agreed. I co-slept with my daughter for a year and a half. She just wasn't comfortable sleeping alone. We moved her to her own bedroom a few months after her first birthday and usually she will sleep through the night alright but we still co-sleep for naps just because it is fun. (and we sleep longer) I don't see anything wrong with it either.
Wow! 11 lbs! I hope that a was a C-section!:) Yea they are definitely softer and maybe just not quite as high and tight as they were before my son but what are you gonna do? Yes doing chest presses, flys and pushups will help with the pec muscles but nothing helps with the skin issue except surgery. Invest in beautiful, supportive bras so you'll feel good dressed at least. Never ever point out anything negative to your man cause they just dont see it usually. They just want you naked pressed up against them and dont care about the rest. That's a Dr Laura quote btw.. I think she's right unless your man is a jerk.
Permalink Reply by Jane on August 22, 2012 at 4:06pm Ha yes I do agree. And nope! Au natural baby----I was 19 at the time, though....psh I can do this. And I could. Only 7 hours of labor, bad for about 3 then only 20 mins of pushing and she was out. It was incredible.. No idea how I managed to do that without any pain medicine. I just figured people all over the world do it everyday and I could too. If I had to do it again I'd do it the same way. and just hope the next one isn't as big hahah. Healthy though for sure!
