My little man is 11 weeks and he is sleeping through the night for a couple days. I am afraid that he is not getting enough food. Should I wake him up and feed him?

Please, I need to know.

My daughter who is now 1, started sleeping through the night at a month old and we never woke her up to feed her. As soon as she woke up he got a new diaper and a bottle and she was ok. :)
I believe it's all about the weigh, so if he is gaining proper weight (which they will tell u at ur well checkups) then its just fine. My baby girl just turned 7 months an sleeps through the day, which of course drives me crazy
In my opinion, babies will tell you when they're hungry. If they want to sleep, let them sleep. If you wake them up to eat they'll learn to eat on a cycle instead of when they're actually hungry.

Your baby should let you know when he is hungry.  If your baby eats frequently during the day, he may fill up and not be hungry.  My son used to eat every 2 hours when he was an infant and then he would sleep all night.

I agree with the others.  My pediatrician always asked if we "trusted" our baby.  As in, does the baby tell you when he is hungry.  If you feel confident that you understand your babies cues and he lets you know loud and clear when it is feeding time, then I say let him sleep.   Also, consider the weight gain.  If he is gaining appropriately (about 1/2 an oz. a day) then you are fine.  Enjoy your sleep.

In my opinion, as long as your baby is not losing too much weight and his/her pediatrician is not concerned about their weight growth, then let your baby tell you when they are hungry. Remember, they are growing as they sleep and you don't want a grumpy sleepy baby. Also, if you are breast feeding and your breasts start to engorge, pump some until your baby is ready to eat. If your not breast feeding, then take advantage and get some more sleep yourself! You'll both be happy after a good rest! :-D
As all of these woman have replied...as long as your baby is gaining weight he'll let you know when he's hungry. Good luck:-)
