My son loves to "shake it" when there is music on. We play it as much as possible, since I have also heard so many good things about music and baby development!

Yeah, that's cool Erika! My daughter Basia - 9 months - also like to shake toys or whatever she is holding in her hand when she hears music she likes. She doesn't like everything though. I see that she likes certain instruments like saxophone or double bass - when she hears these instruments in the middle of the piece, she turns toward the stereo and listens with open mouth:) It is amazing that at this young age, babies already have their own musical taste. We listen a lot of classical music, sung poetry and Basia loves Pat Metheny:) What kind of music your son likes the most?

When my daughter was a baby I heard mozart sooths them and helps the brain with development. Not sure if that is true but with doing that and reading and teaching her things everyday I have myself a gifted child!
My son well he's extremely smart but doesn't talk much and doesn't enjoy reading like she did, but he understands everything. He also LOVES music he picks up my daughter's radio and has to have it on whatever room he goes in..lol
