Doea anyone have any tips on getting rid of Mosquitos? They have invaded my house. I literally just spent 45 minutes killing them in my bathroom and still have them flying around. I've bought citronella candles bug sprays and have had my house and yard treated with insecticide. The only other thing I know to do is call terminex or Orkin.

Check to make sure that you don't have water collecting somewhere.  Mosquitoes breed in water, which is why they often turn up in the bathroom or kitchen.

If you have pets in the house make sure you're giving them their monthly dose of heartworm prevention. Heartworm is spread by mosquitoes.

I've seen commercials for those little buzzer things you can wear to keep mosquitoes away. Maybe buy a bunch of those and put them around the house? I don't know how expensive they are, so it might not be very cost effective. I hate mosquitoes!

They are attracted to carbon monoxide. Notice when you car is running they will attack you near your car.... Spraying won't get ride of mosquitoes. You must get rid of the stagnate water. Depending on how bad you could order mosquito hawlks or dragon flies to release in your yard. Sounds crazy but they eat the larva and kill the bug.

Not all mosquitoes bite/drink blood. Only the females during fertility... They need the blood to reproduce, so if you are getting bitten you are getting close to the water.

It doesn't take much water for the larva to survive. If you have a ditch holding water there are tablets you can throw in the water. (Check your local farm supply store) Also keep in mide that with the heat all bugs are looking for a cool place. It takes time for the pest to injest the poison. Spiders crawl through the poison then later groom themselves and will then later die. It may take some more time. You can always try glue strips for flys.
I don't have any pets. Not do I have standing water around my house (unless it's under my house). I was told today to pour bleach down all of my drains just in case they are coming up through them. I guess my next try is the fly strips no matter how gross I think they are lol. Thanks
watch out and keep us posted for when you run into one lol It happens to everyone I think.

If you have a septic tank you may want to reconsider pouring bleach down the drains. Most all drains have a P or S trap that will not allow gas or anything back up. It does hold water but simply turning on the water will flush the drains.

Call you local extension office they may have helpful hints for your area. Usually located near a court house of town official building. I use High Yield 42 or whatever number they have. I mix it with my fungasides and spray it all OUTSIDE. Under leaves on trees, under bushes... All around hm and window seals. But we don't have bugs.

There is a mosquito repeller for yards. You place it a ways away from recreational areas and it attracks them away from where the people are. They are kinda pricey unless you get them from someplace like TuesdayMorning or after season special.
Also have someone check to see if you have standing water under your house... This could be bad.... This time of year most of the standing water dries up, you could have a leak... This brings all kinds of bugs, snakes, and funguas/mold/bacteria. Not good for anyone.
We don't have septic we live inside city limits. My brother in law lives with us, he called terminex Monday and the sales person he talked to assured him that they could handle the mosquito problem. It when the man showed up at our house yesterday he told us that he couldn't do anything. We had some plumbing problems a while back the plumbers tried to find a way to get under the house but didn't have any luck. There's one opening but even I wouldn't be able to fit through it and I weigh 113 pounds, it's tiny.
