I gave up on Breastfeeding but I want my daughter to get breast milk

So I found out I had a low supply of milk in my breast and was told to pump 8 x a day and that worked for a good week before I became very restless with the fact she just wouldn't latch. So 2 weeks ago I just gave up. I know that's a bad thing but it wasn't working out and now I'm in the dilemma of needing her to have the breast milk so she won't get sick and I'm looking for a milk bank in Detroit Michigan and can't find one. Had I just stuck to it smh.

Talk to you Dr and see about meds to increase milk/start over. There are herbs and scripts to help with milk production.

you can start breastfeeding again I quit for 2-3 weeks and started again if you are having latching problems start breastfeeding with a nipple shield many women have low supply and can get it up so baby is exclusively breastfed. like east textas mom said there are herbs and meds to increase milk talk to lactation and try to get your supply back

Giving up on breastfeeding doesn't make you a bad person and it's not the end of the world.  For the record, my son was breastfed and he still got sick.  Whatever your decision, don't beat yourself up about it.  Your baby will survive on formula and it won't make them inferior in any way.

Have you tried contacting La Leche? They help breastfeeding mothers. They might be able to help you either A) Start breastfeeding again or B) Get in contact with a milk bank. They helped when my friend was having problems. Good luck! You aren't a bad mother for not doing it......not everyone is able to. I hope you find the answers you are looking for <3
