I've read semen can help kick things into gear, and I swear it pushed me into labor (I went from not dilated at all on Wednesday to active labor on Thursday night). I've also heard spicy food works...but mostly I think you have to wait until the little guy feels fully baked. I hope it happens for you soon!

I have never known anything like spicy foods, fruit juice, sex or anything to help out with dilation or labor. I think you will just have to wait it out unfortunately. I've been there before, it sucks. At least you are close, awesome! It's exciting, good luck!

Permalink Reply by Erika, Star Mom on September 23, 2012 at 3:57pm Do you have a yoga ball? Walmart sells one for like $8 and I got one during my second trimester. I sit on it all the time, bouncing on it could help bring the baby down and out. Hope you get your relief and your bundle soon. I have 3 weeks until my due date, get alot of braxton hicks, and I'm starting to get uncomfortable and anxious too. Good luck!

Permalink Reply by dentalgirl on September 24, 2012 at 10:23am Spicy food and lots of walking got me kickstarted. I was 5 days overdue and went out for sushi with LOTS of wasabi and walked the mall a ton and bam, labor!!!!
Permalink Reply by EastTexasMommy on September 29, 2012 at 1:46am Tried the spicy foods and wow do I regret that one... lol I couldn't/can't seem to get rid of the heartburn. I have had to sleep up right in my bed for a few nights now. Maybe just maybe he'll come tomorrow. I predicted the 29th but then again I'm not a big winner at the casino's. Thanks for the advice.
