I am considered full term and have dilated to a two and nothing has changed. I have walked more this week than I think with any trimester. I've eaten a ton of pineapple and drank pineapple juice. It wasn't bad because I love fruit. I have tried my breast pump and adult time with my hubby. I did a few jumping jacks and just got tired. I had my hubby rub my feet and even press and hold on the 'pressure points' but still nothing.

I guess I will try to swing tomorrow and see if that does anything. I am against castor oil so please don't suggest it. All thoug most people will say it's worth a try, they never say it could make the baby pooh in the womb and baby could asperate the pooh and that's not a good thing at all.

I am having really bad cramps that feel like the start of the worst period you could imagine but no baby and no dialation past a 2. This is baby #2 and my Dr said he see's no reason to induce. I a misserable and ready to see this little guy that has been causing all these problems. More than the pain, my prego hormones are almost unbareable. I see a Dr just for the hormone shifts, regularly.

I just want a safe Natural way to speed things up. Any suggestions? Right now I think he's just stubborn like his daddy.

I would try more sex, lol! I've read semen can help kick things into gear, and I swear it pushed me into labor (I went from not dilated at all on Wednesday to active labor on Thursday night). I've also heard spicy food works...but mostly I think you have to wait until the little guy feels fully baked. I hope it happens for you soon!

All of the things you mentioned, besides the castor oil, is a myth I think.  I have never known anything like spicy foods, fruit juice, sex or anything to help out with dilation or labor.  I think you will just have to wait it out unfortunately.  I've been there before, it sucks.  At least you are close, awesome!  It's exciting, good luck!

sex and nipple stimulation release oxytocin which is the hormone that causes the uterus to contract

Do you have a yoga ball? Walmart sells one for like $8 and I got one during my second trimester. I sit on it all the time, bouncing on it could help bring the baby down and out. Hope you get your relief and your bundle soon. I have 3 weeks until my due date, get alot of braxton hicks, and I'm starting to get uncomfortable and anxious too. Good luck!

Thank you, he is in place and has been for a couple of weeks but still no grand arrival. I go back to my Dr today and hopfully something has changed for the better. I know your not suposta speed up the process and since I've carried this long what's a few more days or weeks... But this part of leading up to the end is really taking all I have. I'm not a sissy with pain but there are a lot of times that I physically can't walk. So when I can I have walked in abundance. Thanks again. I have been hoping that Today will be the big day. Great for a sitter and optimal for my family's work schedule. (Plus my dad has major surgery Wed. At the same hospital. They would hopefully release us that day and I could make sure he is doing great.)

Spicy food and lots of walking got me kickstarted. I was 5 days overdue and went out for sushi with LOTS of wasabi and walked the mall a ton and bam, labor!!!!

Tried the spicy foods and wow do I regret that one... lol   I couldn't/can't seem to get rid of the heartburn.  I have had to sleep up right in my bed for a few nights now. Maybe just maybe he'll come tomorrow. I predicted the 29th but then again I'm not a big winner at the casino's.  Thanks for the advice.

So I'm big on follow ups.... I dislike being left in the dark and dislike searching and finding others questions with no solutions.... Here goes nothing. Literally nothing. I have been to 3 one week appointments and still dilated to a two. My blood pressure is up, pulse rate up, baby heart rate up, protine in urine, and Dr says I'm going nowhere. (plus I'v gained almost a pound per day this past week) I will be induced in the morning.

Thank you for all your helpful answers.

Thanks for the update, I was wondering if your baby was here yet! Hope your labor goes smooth and quickly today! Can't wait to see a picture of your new little one :)
