The obvious answer, "we had sex. Lots of sex" aside, what did you do when you were TTC?
Did you just wing it, or did you use OPKs, chart your temps, watch the ferning of your saliva, or something else?
I used OPKs for my first, and had help from an RE with my second. I feel like I should have an honorary degree in reproductive sciences. I definitely went overboard on reading when I was TTC. How about you?
Let's talk about it here, then take our Fertility Quiz to find out how much you know about your fertility!

Permalink Reply by Arcona_Momma on September 26, 2012 at 5:38pm Opks= Ovulation predictor kit & HPT=Home pregnancy tests, if you see someone say they use dip sticks they are the pregnancy or ovulation test strips that you dip into a cup of pee.
Permalink Reply by tamgia on September 27, 2012 at 10:11pm Thank you for the clarifications! lol. I'm 31 and have a bicornuate uterus (heart shaped uterus instead of the usual pear shape) which is supposed to make it difficult for me to become pregnant. Not so in my case! We did it the old fashion way, no birth control and had fun.
Permalink Reply by Arcona_Momma on October 4, 2012 at 1:29pm Oh I forgot. RE= Reproductive Endocrinologist and OB is of coarse an OBGYN. Pretty much an RE gets you pregnant while an OB keeps you pregnant.
I have no idea what these scientifiques names mean. My husband tract over my ovulation and period. He told me it was the time we should try to have a baby and wow!! we had a little boy.
