My jogging stroller thread from this spring led to some great recommendations so I thought I'd try the same thing for car seats. My son still has room in his SnugRide 32, but here pretty soon we'll have to start looking into a convertible car seat. I've been looking most specifically at the Britax Advocate 70 CS and the Recaro ProRIDE. If anyone has either of these I'd love to hear feedback, but if you have a different seat that you're really a fan of I'm open to other recommendations.
We have Britax Marathons (originally my older son's; now my younger one is in them) and they've been great. I love how easy they are to install well and how comfy they are, not to mention the great Britax safety record.
Having said that, I've also heard great things about the Graco MyRide 65, which is less expensive than the Britax seats.
that's the one we actually ended up going with! :) so far my son loves it and we found a 15% online discount code so it worked out well. we're very happy with it!
