Did you exercise while pregnant? I kept hitting the gym during the first trimester, but then I got really busy and stopped going; I walked every day but that's about it. Now I'm a runner. If I get pregnant again, I'd like to think I'll keep running; a good friend is 6 months along and she still heads out for a jog two or three times a week.
i plan to keep running, but at a slower pace (and i may walk instead of jogging uphill, especially when i'm with the stroller). a couple friends of mine (who are far more serious runners than me) ran up until they delivered. so long as it's comfortable i plan to keep it up. if i do stop jogging i will definitely keep up the exercise through elliptical, Adaptive Motion Trainer (kind of like a step/elliptical combo machine we have at the gym), yoga, strength training and walking. i freaked myself out last time and let myself get way out of shape, but i won't let that happen this time! the only thing i'm debating is Zumba. i've read mixed things about doing activities of a higher-impact category and when i do that class i do all of the jumping/bouncing. i'm not sure i'd get a good enough workout if i took it down to low impact, but i may try it out and see if i still like it as well.
Have you read that doing high-impact exercise is dangerous for the baby, or something else that is making you cautious? I was under the impression that you could pretty much do any exercise you did before you were pregnant, but it makes sense that a lot of bouncing and jumping might not be the best idea.
