If you are working out try changing up your workout routine to work different muscles. And stretch a lot! P90x worked great for me

Ok i might have to try that. Thank you.

you can buy a sweat belt and just wear it around anywhere or to work out with but either way you sweat and it burns extra calories. and flattens your abs fast if you do sit ups or crunches. i got mine from academy

Wow i might have to try that

workout eat a high protein low fat diet with lots of fruit and veggies and dont focus on the number focus on results workout eat right and dont torcher yourself with the scale

Personally, I lost 60 lbs by doing basic things.  I didn't diet first of all.  If you deprive your body of a certain food, you tend to crave it.  Then when you give in you over-indulge.  I ate what I wanted when I wanted I just cut the proportions (instead of eating a whole chocolate cake, I ate half lol - ok slight exageration).  I upped my cardio.  Walked more, jogged here and there, took more bike rides.  My daughter loved walks in the park and bike riding.  I did break down and purchased an inexpensive "helper" for my mid section, but other than that I lost the weight without spending an arm and a leg to do so.

Please, keep in mind that most "bands" or "restrictors" are for water wieght.  The don't get rid of fat or tone muscles.

Be patient with yourself!!! This is the lesson that I learned after having my son. I was in great shape before I had my son (about 120 pounds) and I exercised throughout my entire pregnancy hoping that this would make it easier to lose the weight after I had him (and I also heard that it was great for the baby). I could NOT get the weight off after giving birth. It takes a long time for your body to adjust and every woman is different. It took me a YEAR before I began to lose weight and I was exercising and eating well every day! I remember feeling so upset that I was close to tears at times, so I understand your frustration. I continued to exercise and eat well and the weight eventually vanished. I'm back in great shape and I'm thinking about baby #2 now. I think that this process will help after I have our second child since I understand what to expect from my body. You can do it, just be forgiving of yourself and what you have been through - your body is in shock and is just trying to find itself again. Good luck and take care.

Running did the trick for me.  But I didn't lose the last 15 lbs until 3 mos after I stopped breastfeeding.  And just remember how much your body changed in the last year!  You will reach your goals, just be patient and positive!

Same here with losing after weaning.  Your body holds on to about 5-10 pounds when you nurse.  Now that we've weaned, I lost all the weight...from my breasts. ;)  Pancakes now.

Well dixie mom, I've heard it takes about a yr to loose it after the baby. I had my baby in September and still trying to loose the weight I do exercise and eat with portions but it is hard..Dont worry sooner or later we will get our bodys back. Some are lucky and some are not. For example my sister who just had her baby 7 wks ago looks like she never had a baby boy before and now shes back to her regualar size be fore she was prego, but like me I still need to drop 4 sizes down.. So stress ful, Good luck and tell us how it goes..

To quote my sister "nine months to jack it up nine months to fix it!" Im going through the same thing its hard but we will get there

I highly recommend weightwatchers online. My daughter will be a year old on September 1st and I am still not where I would like to be with my weight but weightwatchers has helped so much. I started weightwatchers in March at 173 lbs and I am now 142 lbs and still going strong! I have taken a few weeks off for vacation out of state but got right back on track. It is a really easy plan once you work through a month or so and it did not cost too much. I also feel that it is a great plan because your not depriving yourself. The plan also allows for extra points if you are breastfeeding. Good luck! I know how discouraged you may feel but trust me, this plan works.
