Tell us your baby's first food and we'll enter you to win.

We're giving away 3 copies of 500 Baby & Toddler Dishes by Beverley Glock, a collection of recipes for babies and toddlers. The book is organized by stages of development so parents know what is appropriate for every age, and most of the recipes are also designed for the whole family to eat. All of the recipes and ingredients were reviewed by a registered pediatric nutrition specialist and follow guidelines set forth by the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Check out what some of our mom reviewers thought of the book here! Then enter the giveaway.

This is a very well thought out book that really makes it easy for parents to make healthy and delicious food for their little ones. There are enough recipes in this book to take us through toddlerhood without getting stale. I don't think I'll ever need another baby food cook book! Tracih

My daughter ate those gerber baby foods not a lot but that was one of the first things she ate. But her first real meal was lasagna. We put it in the food processor and made her some and she just devoured it. She slept so well that night. After that she would take the gerber food, but I noticed she enjoyed actual food more. And it was a sight to see as well. W/all that sauce all over her face. :]

my son's first food was sweet potatoes. he's a really good eater, gets a lot in his mouth, but not much on the bib.

MY babies first food was the gerber baby food squash.  I tried giving her that one since i thought it would be the one she would like least but ended up being her favorite.

My baby boy, who is 2 next month..first food was a vanilla wafer soaked in milk...he loved it..oatmeal was his 2nd fav..(((:
When my older son turn one we were giving him gerber jars. But we decided to give him solid food. The problem was that I didn't know how to cook. So my mom had to show me her delicious dish rice w beans. He loved it. I realized that day that I needed to learn how to cook. That's why this year one of my new year resolution is to learn how to cook different dishes for my two kids.

My daughter's first solid food was mushed up artichoke hearts.  A little unconventional, but she loved it!  That was at 4 months, and now at 19 months, she still eats it up!  Yum, yum! :)

My son's first solid food was mashed potatoes and he LOVES them. lol

I haven't started solids yet, but I think sweet potatoes is a good first food!

My baby's first taste of solid food was rice cereal. But his first fruit or veggie, was peas. I figured I would go in with the veggies first, since I figured he would like fruit without any problems. However, he actually prefers veggies to fruit now.

We are going to start feeding her solids in a month (she will be 6 months). Her first food will be puréed peas.
I'm going to make them myself. Just got. Baby bullet lender.
My daughter is 6 months old today and we've been giving her rice cereal for about 2 weeks. She loves it! Yesterday I gave her peas for the first time. The looks on her face we're so funny, I don't think I've ever laughed so hard. She's such a mess afterwards I stick her straight in the bath tub. -My silly baby :)

My daughter's first true foods other than baby food were rice cereal with applesauce, and then sweet potatoes.  At first she seemed to love everything.   Now that she is 13 months old she has gotten slightly pickier but overall is a great eater.  I would love this book because I tend to run low on ideas for her for meals and I don't want to give her the same meals on a constant basis.
